Learning to make a difference
Many of us believe that, starting in elementary school, we should be learning how our daily habits and electricity use can have a positive impact on the environment and the fight against climate change.
Together, we can take concrete action for the well-being of the planet. Offering creative and educational tools to schools and students is a step in the right direction.
By going into schools, we’re training the ambassadors of tomorrow and continuing to promote our mission of demystifying energy and how it affects the environment. Thanks to the presence of partners and organizations on the ground and in the community, young people are given a voice, which they can use to make a difference.
From preschool to secondary school, we encourage young people to develop good energy use habits through educational kits and fun, educational worksheets.
Free activities offered to students, such as the visit to the Électrium, our electricity interpretation center, help them learn more about green energy and give them tools to become future ambassadors of sustainable energy use.
This youth mobilization campaign on climate change helps secondary school students in Québec unite their voices to implement concrete actions. Launched by the Fondation Monique-Fitz-Back, it includes a national council of young ministers of the environment, a laboratory of young environmental journalists with mentoring by Unpointcinq and an annual youth summit.
Each year, artists and web-based personalities join the students in the fight against climate change by sharing their daily efforts in order to maintain their hope for the future.
